The Family Behind the Puppies
We’re Dean, Esther, and our five children, living on a 10-acre mini farm in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country. Our property is home to hobby-grazed beef cattle, Trigger the horse, Miles the cat, and of course, our beloved dogs. To say we’re animal lovers would be an understatement, animals are woven into the fabric of our daily lives.
Our story in breeding began simply. When our two oldest children were toddlers, we adopted a small Bichon who quickly became part of the family. The kids adored her. When she had a litter of puppies, the experience brought our family so much happiness that we knew we wanted to share that joy with others. What started as a single litter has grown into a passion we’ve pursued for years, and Bernese Mountain Dogs hold a special place in our program.
Where Our Dogs Live
Our amazing Bernese Mountain Dogs are raised in a modern, climate-controlled kennel built specifically for their comfort. Given the Berner’s thick coat and sensitivity to heat, temperature control is especially important for this breed. Our facility provides cool, comfortable indoor spaces alongside large outdoor play areas where our dogs can exercise, socialize, and enjoy the fresh country air.
We maintain our kennel to the highest cleanliness standards, and we invite families to visit and see our operation firsthand. You’ll find healthy, well-cared-for dogs in an environment designed around their specific needs.

Hands-On Family Care
Although our dogs are housed in our kennel rather than inside our home, they still receive daily attention and affection from our entire family and employees. Our children spend time at the kennel every day, playing with puppies, helping with care, and forming bonds with our adult dogs. We treat every animal as God’s creation, worthy of love and respect, and that philosophy guides everything we do.
Health as Our Foundation
Every Bernese Mountain Dog deserves the best health, and we take that responsibility seriously. All of our breeding dogs undergo comprehensive genetic testing to screen for hereditary conditions common in the breed. Every mother receives veterinary checkups every 6 months to ensure she’s healthy and able to raise a thriving litter. Before any puppy goes home, they’re thoroughly examined, vaccinated, and dewormed on a schedule recommended by our veterinarian.
Building Confident Puppies
Great temperament doesn’t happen by accident. We provide Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) to every puppy, from day 3 to day 16. This proven method enhances stress tolerance, strengthens the immune system, and supports healthy development. Soon after, our puppies begin daily socialization with our children and other dogs. This exposure to kids of various ages helps develop confident, well-adjusted puppies ready to thrive in a family environment.
Present from the Start
When a mother goes into labor, our family is by her side. We help ensure she’s comfortable throughout delivery and carefully examine each puppy as they arrive. This attentive approach allows us to catch any concerns early and gives every puppy the best possible start to life.
